Tribune Media Services (TMS) Announces Expanded Content Offering From Cars.com
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) July 27, 2009 -- Tribune Media Services (TMS) today announced that it will expand its partnership with Cars.com to offer newspapers and their websites enhanced special-interest features from the leading destination site for car shoppers. The content, along with customized design services for newspaper auto sections, will be made available through TMS Specialty Product's e-commerce content service at www.tmsspecialtyproducts.com, where publishers can preview and download this material.
Newspapers and their websites will be gearing up for an increase in car shoppers looking for purchasing guidance, thanks to the recently passed "Cash for Clunkers" bill. At the end of July, this rebate program will put $3,500 to $4,500 in the pockets of about 250,000 people trading in older gas guzzlers for new, more environmentally friendly vehicles, and Cars.com content can help provide the insight they'll need to make smarter purchases.

Each week, TMS will deliver five to eight Cars.com stories on trends and reviews of new cars and trucks, as well as a series of special-interest features: Ask.Cars.com, a Q & A column from Cars.com experts; MotherProof, Kristin Varela and her team of reviewers address the auto questions and concerns of women and mothers; Kicking Tires, Cars.com's rapid-fire updates on the industry's latest trends and pop-culture tie-ins; and Pick-upTrucks.com, a look at the popular world of pick-up trucks. In October, TMS will also release a Cars.com 2010 auto preview package.
Customers will have the choice of receiving the content as a weekly package or working with TMS Specialty Products to design a weekly or daily auto page, according to the newspaper's specifications.
The Chicago Tribune recently switched to the TMS distributed Cars.com package.
